Supersonic Text File Search - Free Download

How to surf over many text files just by dragging the mouse.

How to fly over all text of a folder by dragging the mouse, similar to a Smartphone surface, with a Freeware tool for Windows and Linux/Mac.

After download, run the tool by double click, then click on Open
and select a directory from which you want to load all text files.
All ASCII text files from that folder will be loaded, like all
.txt, .ini, .html, readme or source code files.

surfing the text

Now, using CURSOR UP and DOWN or the MOUSEWHEEL is all nice,
we've seen that in every editor. But now try this:

   - click anywhere into blank space,
and keep the left mouse button pressed.

   - then move the mouse DOWN or UP. What you experience now
is the Depeche View Text Surf.

By default, when keeping the left mouse button pressed,
dragging the mouse down moves the text up. This is similar
to dragging a scrollbar in a classical windows application.

If you want to drag the text in the same direction as your
mouse move, check Setup / general / invert text surf direction.

surfing two views in parallel

If you have two views open, both pointing to similar text
like two versions of a project, you can surf them both in parallel:

   - keep SHIFT pressed.

   - in the left side view, click anywhere into blank space,
and keep the left mouse button pressed.

   - then move the mouse DOWN or UP.

Both the left side view and it's nearby view will scroll.

surfing without the mouse

When scrolling through text without a mouse, important keys are:

- SHIFT+Cursor Right/Left to move horizontally
- SHIFT+Cursor Down/Up to move fast vertically
- CONTROL+Cursor Down/Up to jump to next/previous search result
- CONTROL+Page Down/Up to jump to next/previous file
